After Palestinians were forbidden from using their national flag in 1967. Since then the people have adopted the watermelon as a symbol to represent their national colours.
These symbolic watermelon brooches are crocheted from biodegradable bamboo yarn by Irish crafter Alex Hale. Each beautiful pin features a silver tone brooch attachment making them easy to pin to anything you like to display your solidarity with Palestine.
The watermelon slice pin measures approximately 5.5cm.
All proceeds after postage are going to UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency who are dedicated to providing aid to Palestinians.
